Regeneration of Paphos by the contractor companies, including ILIDA (press report)

The Cypriot newspaper Phileleftheros (philenews.com) reported on the new large-scale regeneration studies for the city of Paphos, commissioned by the Municipality of Paphos following a tender procedure to a team of Greek consultants that includes ILIDA Consulting Engineers SA.

Following the earlier, widely praised regeneration of the historic and commercial centre, the new interventions extend to areas beyond the centre: the area of Panagia Theoskepasti and the coastal roads surrounding it, the district of Anavargos, and the area south of the commercial centre.

According to the report, the unifying design feature across all regeneration areas is the use of free curved layouts that create interacting, intersecting shapes fitted to the irregular geometry of the available spaces — providing surfaces for pedestrian routes, seating and resting zones, planting, play areas and water features.
